The Silver Linings Playbook

"Life is hard, Pat, and children have to be told how hard life can be."
"Why?"
"So they will be sympathetic to others. So they will understand that some people have it harder than they do and that a trip through this world can be a wildly different experience, depending on what chemicals are raging through one's mind."

Silver lining: n. A hopeful or comforting prospect in the midst of difficulty.

I am done with The Silver Linings Playbook! I was a little disappointed with it at first, but the second half of the book made so much more sense, it completely made up for the first half. I was so annoyed with it during the first half, because the author couldn't stop spoiling (by that I mean providing a full summary and revealing the twist/ending) other books for me, which was so..... frustrating hahahaha but nevertheless, it was a really good read. The main character in the book (Pat) reminded me very much of Charlie in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, both being such a complicated character and all. I'll leave that for y'all to read on your own :-)

On a side note, I am going to watch the film adaptation now yay!!! Bradley Cooper has always been one of my favorite actors hehehe I can't wait to see how he'll portray Pat! And Jennifer Lawrence is so beautiful omg the only movie I've watched of hers is X-Men First Class though hahahaha but I'm sure she's a really sweet lady (judging from her interviews and also mildly (greatly) influenced by tumblr singing praises of her almost everyday hahahaha). But really---
(Insert millions of heart-shaped eyes emoticon)

Goodnight :-)
