My favorite cafes till date (part 1)

A list of my favorite cafes/restaurants till date (part 1) :-) (In no particular order)
*
 1. Raindrops cafe @ Scape (closed)
Loved its cosy layout, tataki tuna appetizer and creme brulee, but I'm sad to say that it's now closed :-(

2. Epilogue Cafe
Brownie with ice cream was gooOooOooood

3. Eggs & Berries @ Changi City Point
Eggs & Berries will always be my favorite place for brunch :-)
Their poached eggs are perfect, and their brunch servings are really huge (and all for an affordable price). The setting and service left a really good impression on me too :-)

4. CanelĂ© Pâtisserie Chocolaterie
Love their macarons and strawberry shortcake hehehe my mum finds their macarons a little too sweet though!
I was especially impressed with their coffee during my last visit. Even best, who claimed that she doesn't like coffee, ordered another cup hahaha

5. L'etoile Cafe @ Owen Rd *
(Photo taken from google)

I first found out about this cafe a few months back, when I was looking thru' ladyironchef's index for a quiet cafe that would allow me to chill and read a book. I was SO excited when I found this cafe on his blog, because even then the photos looked REALLY appealing already, and yet when I stepped into this cafe for the first time, I was still really fascinated and impressed by this little gem. It didn't take us long to find L'etoile- it's just a 5-mins walk (or less) from Farrer Park mrt, so it's really convenient as well. L'etoile is a double-storey, pretty cafe that provides free wifi, quality food, great service, and really amazing ambience :-) This is definitely my favorite hang-out spot :-)

6. Tea Party Express @ SMU School of Economics & Social Sciences
Not exactly a cafe, but I just have to include this in- I love their pasta set!!! ($4.50) Had it almost everyday during my internship at the National Museum (it's just opposite) :-) Strongly recommending prawn aglio olio and their scones :-)

7. Saveur
Love their duck confit :-) It's really affordable too for relatively quality french cuisine.

8. The Line @ Shangri-La Hotel
(Both plates were shared by everyone***)
Their cakes were of the right texture and sweetness. All these didn't make me feel nauseous or sick or anything, which I think is quite an important factor in judging if the cakes are really good????????

9. Wimbly Lu Chocolate Cafe @ Lorong Chuan
Love their waffle with salted caramel ice cream and chocolate sauce :-)

10. Cups N Canvas
A good place to chill and do your work (power plugs available!) :-) Haven't tried their mains though! Planning to head back again soon :-)

Graduation

14/10 Monday
These two years in NY flew by so quickly, and I'm glad to say, I love it here :-) I love the environment, the teachers, and how everyone is so encouraging and helpful all the time. My only regret is not meeting another class like 4LY, but I guess that would be asking too much, right? 1211 is not the closest class you'd find, but at least everyone is genuine and nice :-) Besides, I've got my small, weird group of friends to brighten up my school days :-) JC life has been enriching and inspiring enough, but of course there are the "down sides" to JC life as well, if you would look at all the packed work schedules and stress we experience each term. For that, I am really grateful for all the amazing people I've met in here, those that have made my JC life a million times more enjoyable :-)

Graduation on the 14th was filled with so much love!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the graduation ceremony (the videos NY teachers filmed were hilarious), and the little gifts and cards I received :-) Here are some of the photos and polaroid taken with my fav people :-)
my fav people in the whole world :-) :-)
Post-graduation celebratory lunch at L'etoile :-)

(still horrible though, but YAY) There are definitely much more I've to improve on to get decent A's grades though, so.......
